Outsourcing is a big decision, especially if you have never trusted anyone with your business before. Ultimately, it depends on your business needs, budget, and the skills and experience of the virtual assistant (VA).
If you have tasks that can be delegated to a VA and have the budget to pay for their services, it can be a cost-effective way to free up your time so that you can focus on doing what you do best. VAs often have skills and knowledge that can be beneficial to your business, and they can often do admin tasks much quicker than you would as know the tricks of the trade!
Of course there is a risk of the VA not meeting your expectations (just the same as with employees) but if you do your research beforehand and ensure that you communicate your expectations and instructions clearly, it could be the best decision you make for your business.
